These early days go so fast.

The First Days at Home

Those early days at home can feel tender, messy, and a little overwhelming.

I’ve lived them too. I know what it’s like to be tired, emotional, and figuring it all out one feed at a time.

I also know how much trust it takes to let someone into that space.

When I arrive, it won’t feel like a stranger turning up with a camera.

It’ll feel more like a friend dropping by.

What your newborn session feels like

We won't be chasing perfect poses or rushing through the morning.

We take it at whatever pace your baby needs, because every family is different, and this session is uniquely yours.

Before your session

I'll send you an email with simple practical tips on preparing your home and some tricks to help your baby feel settled and ready for the session.

That's really all you need to do.

I’ll bring everything we need

I’ll bring everything we need, so you don’t need to think about a thing.

Beautiful knitted blankets, a bassinet and some gorgeous little outfits for your baby.

And for you, Mum, I also have a small collection of comfy, feeding friendly dresses you’re very welcome to borrow.

Older siblings welcome

If you have older kids or toddlers, they will absolutely be part of the session, too, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I love when there is a big brother or sister around. The energy they bring makes everything so fun and it's a true reflection of your everyday family life.

Kids tend to warm to me pretty quickly. I think it's the primary school teacher in me.

Newborn sessions take place at home, around one to two weeks after your baby arrives.

We’ll chat and choose a time that feels right for you.

Got questions about your newborn session?

What time of day do newborn sessions happen?

I visit around 10 a.m. By then you’ve hopefully had your morning coffee and there is often beautiful natural light filling your home.

It's the perfect time for a relaxed session.

What if my house doesn’t get much natural light?

Don’t stress. I’ve never visited a home I haven’t been able to photograph beautifully. I’ll find the best light in your home and work with what you’ve got.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, absolutely. I know there are plenty of expenses that come with a new baby, so I’m happy to offer flexible payment plans to help spread the cost of your photography experience.

If you’d like to chat about options, just send me a message and we’ll work out something that suits you.

Do I need to tidy the house before you arrive?

No deep cleaning required, I promise.

If you feel up to it, a quick tidy of a few little areas we might shoot in is more than enough.

We’ll use a couple of spots in your home where the light is beautiful, but there’s no need to stress about making everything perfect.

Can we do some photos outside as well?

Absolutely.

Whether that’s in the backyard, on the front porch, or out the front of your home, we can absolutely include a few outdoor photos if the weather is on our side.

And yes, pets are absolutely welcome!

I’m a big animal lover, so it’s always a yes from me when it comes to including your furry family members.

Pets are family too, and I love capturing them as part of your story.
